instructor has not indicated that these are acceptable to possess?
- need to report the
possession by another student of an exam or assignment from a
current or prior semester if the instruction has not indicated
that these are acceptable to possess?
- cannot allow another
person to copy your assignment?
- cannot allow another
person to copy from your quiz or exam?
- cannot submit an assignment
(lab report, project report, paper, etc.) with the name of a person
who did not contribute to the assignment?
- cannot pass notes,
use electronic devices or other methods to give or receive answers
to exams, quizzes, etc.?
- cannot write a paper,
take an exam or quiz or perform a laboratory exercise, etc. for
another person?
- cannot discuss the
answers to an exam or assignment prior to completing the exam
or assignment unless the instructor has explicitly given instructions
to do so?
What
are the consequences of violating the Universitys Academic
Integrity policy?
The academic sanctions range from repeating the assignment to dismissal
from the academic program. Disciplinary sanctions, while less common,
are possible for more severe cases. The academic sanction is to
be appropriate to the violation and is chosen by the instructor.
The following are a list of possible sanctions:
- Repeat the assignment/exam
- Reduce the assignment/exam
grade
- Fail the exam/assignment
- Reduce course grade
- Fail the course
- Dismiss from the academic
program
- Assign an XF grade
